The Eviction Legal Services Program assists Phoenix residents experiencing a current eviction crisis. Eligible residents may receive access to full or limited legal representation at court, mediation outside of a courtroom proceeding, or post-eviction services to address possible impediments to future renting opportunities. There is no cost to residents for these services.

Program Requirements
- Residency Criteria: Must reside within the city of Phoenix or receive city of Phoenix water services.
- Eviction Risk Criteria: Must be at risk of eviction or have already been evicted.
- Income Criteria: Must have a household income at or below 80% Area Median Income (AMI) for Maricopa County.
2024 HUD 80% Area Median Income:
- 1 Person in Household: $57,600
- 2 Persons in Household: $65,800
- 3 Persons in Household: $74,050
- 4 Persons in Household: $82,250
- 5 Persons in Household: $88,850
- 6 Persons in Household: $95,450
- 7 Persons in Household: $102,000
- 8 Persons in Household: $108,600
How to Apply
Before applying, review the eligibility requirements.
- You are facing eviction or have received notice to vacate; or
- You meet income requirements (Income Criteria)
- You reside in the city of Phoenix or receive city of Phoenix water services.
Preapre the following documents for faster processing:
- Copy or your lease agreement, rental contract or rental receipts
- Eviction notice or court summons
- Proof of income (pay stubs, tax returns, government benefits)
