City of Phoenix Launches Food Drive

City of Phoenix official website

As our community navigates the uncertainty of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits beginning November 2025, many families and seniors are facing increased food insecurity. You can make a difference. The City of Phoenix is partnering with St. Mary’s Food Bank (SMFB) to launch PHX Hunger Relief, a program designed to help ensure local families and residents have access to nutritious meals.

Here’s how you can help

Contribute to PHX Hunger Relief by donating money or food. Every contribution supports local families and individuals facing food insecurity in Phoenix. Even small actions can make a big difference, strengthening the Phoenix community we all call home.

Monetary donations are being accepted beginning November 5, 2025

Food donations are being accepted beginning November 7, 2025

Make a Monetary Contribution

Monetary donations are strongly encouraged because food banks can stretch the donation through bulk purchasing, tax exemptions, and dollar matches from the community. Just one dollar can provide an estimated ten meals for a food bank.

Monetary donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Please consult your tax advisor for details.

You can also donate food items at designated collection sites across Phoenix. These donations go directly to families and residents in need.

Follow these steps to donate food and help your neighbors in Phoenix:
