About the Youth and Education Office

The mission of the office is to create and promote strategies that work toward educational excellence for Phoenix youth, from cradle to career, by:
- Increasing resources and partnerships to promote student achievement through innovative programs such as Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) that link Phoenix with 21st-century global workforce initiatives.
- Strengthening communication among children, parents, and educational stakeholders prepares youth for education, careers, and life.
- Ensuring every third-grader in our city will read proficiently through collaboration, resources, programs and policy.
- Celebrating educational achievement among all youth to help them reach their fullest potential.
