Heat Relief Sites Open May 1
The City of Phoenix is ready for summer, opening heat‑relief locations across the City starting May 1 to help keep residents safe during the dangerous heat.
Heat Relief Locations & Hours
24/7 Respite Center: 20 W. Jackson St.
- Open around the clock with cooling space, water, navigation services, and connections to shelter and other resources for anyone who may need it.
Justa Center: 1001 W. Jefferson St.
- Cooling center open to the public: 3-9 p.m. daily.
Cholla Library: 10050 Metro Pkwy E.
- Cooling center with full library services:
- Mon–Sat: open until 9 p.m.
- Sundays & holidays: noon–9 p.m.
Anyone in need of transportation to a cooling center or heat relief can call 2-1-1 daily from 9 a.m.–7 p.m. starting May 1.
