Current Management Fellows

Emilie Boisedu-Poggi is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a Master of Social Work with a specialization in Health Care Social Work. She also holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Arizona State University. A social worker at heart, her academic and professional experiences have focused on public service across multiple sectors.

Before joining the City of Phoenix, Emilie served as a social work intern with the Office of U.S. Senator Mark Kelly, where she assisted with federal casework and helped navigate constituents to community resources. She also has professional experience in political organizing and special education. While completing her graduate degree, she served as a social work intern with Penn Medicine’s OncoLink, supporting initiatives related to cancer education, trauma-informed care, and improving healthcare access.

An Arizona native, Emilie is excited to serve the community that shaped her. Through the Management Fellowship Program, she hopes to build on her background in social work and public service while developing the leadership and operational skills needed to help best serve Phoenix residents.

Caitlin earned a Master of Arts in Journalism with an emphasis in Digital Publication from Emerson College in 2023 and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a minor in Justice Studies from the University of Idaho in 2022. During her collegiate career, she competed as a scholar-athlete on the women's soccer teams at both institutions, developing strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.

Caitlin previously served as the Communications Coordinator for Phoenix City Council District 6, where she managed media relations, community messaging, digital communications, and resident engagement initiatives on behalf of Councilman Kevin Robinson. She is passionate about combining her background in journalism and communications with meaningful public service to create lasting impacts for residents.

Her professional interests include homelessness solutions, human services, and community engagement. She looks forward to expanding her understanding of municipal operations while continuing to serve the city she proudly calls home.

Alex Saldana is a recent graduate of Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business, where he earned his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in artificial intelligence. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in sports business from ASU, along with a minor in Spanish Literary and Cultural Studies and a certificate in international business.

Before joining the City of Phoenix Management Fellowship, Alex worked as an Administrative Assistant with Barrett, The Honors College at ASU, supporting budget management, purchasing, event coordination, and daily operations. He also broadened his global perspective while living in Madrid, Spain, where he studied abroad and interned with Atlético de Madrid. This international experience deepened his interest in working with diverse communities and enhanced his understanding of organizational operations.

As a first-generation college graduate and bilingual professional, Alex is eager to learn from leaders across the City, contribute to projects that serve the Phoenix community, and expand his experience in public-sector management. Outside of work, he enjoys soccer, traveling, and exercising
