Too often, firefighters hear people say "I only turned my back for a few seconds." Sadly, just a few seconds is all it takes for a child to drown.
Drownings and near drownings can be prevented. Anyone involved with young children needs to be aware of the ABC's of Water Safety:

D- Devices
