Murals

The Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture is proud to launch its first-ever Pre-Qualified Artist Roster for Murals.

This new resource is designed to connect artists with opportunities to design and install murals throughout our city. Residents, business owners, and city departments can utilize the Roster to discover and hire talented muralists for commissions and projects, thereby bringing more art into both public and private spaces.

Along with this Roster, we are working on a companion document that will outline best practices for commissioning and caring for murals.  We anticipate that this will be complete by spring 2026.

The roster features 42 outstanding Arizona-based artists, from emerging voices to established professionals, all selected through a highly competitive process. A panel of five judges—representing Downtown Phoenix, the City, local artists, and arts professionals—carefully reviewed submissions to ensure a diverse and skilled group of muralists.

Artists included in the roster will be eligible for City-funded mural projects over the next two years. We are excited to support this creative community and look forward to seeing murals that celebrate Phoenix’s unique character, enrich our neighborhoods, and inspire residents and visitors alike.
