Your sight, hearing, and ability to smell can help you to work with our leak-detecting resources and find and fix leaks before they become a problem!
Pledge Item 2: Find and Fix Leaks

The second Pledge item is to find and fix leaks during each season or at least 4 times per year by using the resources below and your own senses.
Tips
Tip 1: Be a leak detective in your home, place of work, and/or community.
- Visit the Arizona Municipal Water Users Association's leak-finding web resource at smarthomewaterguide.org.
- Trust your senses! If you hear, see, or smell a leak, talk to the building maintenance team, your HOA, your landlord, or a plumber if it is happening in your own home.
Tip 2: Check your water bill.
- If you notice an unusual spike in cost, you may have a hidden leak!
- If you cannot find the leak, we may be able to help. Request a free water efficiency consultation service today!
Tip 3: Consider your outdoor water use
Did you know that, on average, 55% of the water that we use at home is used outdoors? The potential to save water can be just as big! Learn more with our Outdoor Conservation Resources.
