The tours at the North Gateway Transfer station involve stairs, walking, and standing. An elevator is available. Although the tour takes place indoors in an air conditioned area, the MRF is an active industrial site; visitors may experience loud noises, unpleasant odors, or flashing lights at different points along the way.
